About Mrs. Tooley

Welcome to the library!

I am originally from Oakes, ND. I graduated in 1998 and went on to receive my Bachelors of Science in English Education from Valley City State University in 2003. In college, I played basketball for one year, and then played volleyball for the Vikings until I graduated. My first year of teaching, I went out west to Watford City. I then decided to move to Wahpeton in 2004, where I taught 7th grade English. I earned my Master's of Education in Teaching and Technology from VCSU in 2013. I started working in the K-8 library in 2015 and switched to 6-12 Library Media Specialist in 2017.

I have also been involved with a number of extracurriculars. Currently, I coach 7th grade volleyball. I love sports, reading and writing, and movies and music. I also enjoy camping, fishing, and hiking. My son, Malik, is in preschool and loves dancing, running, reading, and learning!

Favorite Authors: Nicholas Sparks, James Patterson, Jodi Picoult, Colleen Hoover...these tend to be the authors that I need to read when a new book comes out - but I read all kinds of other authors, too.

Teacher Inspiration: Erin Gruewell
