About Mr. Haataja
Hello, my name is Mr. Haataja. This is my 4th year at Wahpeton and my 12th year teaching.
I teach 1-5th music and 5th grade band.
I have a passion for kids and music, (especially band!) If you have an old instrument that you would like to donate, please reach out to me!!
Kids are the reason we are all here and why I do what I do. My wife, Marian, and I have 3 little girls of our own: Eleanor, 3; Katherine, who will be 2 in December; and Isabel who was born in June. It is my goal to treat every student in my class with the same love and respect that I would want my little girls treated.

October 14th-- Surround the State in Song Festival (Nominated 5th-6th graders)
December 19th-- Winter Concert in the WES Gym (Grades 1-3 9:30; Grade 4-5 1:30)
February 23rd-- Wahpeton JH Music Festival (Grade 5 band and choir)
May 9th-- Spring Concert in the WES Gym (Grades 1-3 9:30; Grade 4-5 1:30)
